Excursion Five: Hands-On Culinary History Class and Tastings at the SF School of Cooking

Discover the evolution of regional ingredients and cooking methods, from their prehistoric roots to today’s world class cuisine. We will focus on three distinct eras in our history: pre-contact food, the Spanish influence and modern Santa Fe cuisine.  There will be hands-on work stations where a dish will be prepared to highlight each era.  These delicious treats could include tamales and empanadas. Participants will be tasting the food throughout the class. Local beer, wine and soft drinks will be available at an additional cost.
