Ready to explore what sets Santa Fe apart as an arts and culture destination? We’ve reenergized the typical tour with an interactive approach that invites you to look at art in a new way while whisking you through Santa Fe’s charming neighborhoods, hidden courtyards, off-the-beaten path art venues, and landmark historic sites. On this walking tour, you’ll experience two of Santa Fe’s most iconic historic districts – the Plaza and Canyon Rad – to give you an insider’s look at Santa Fe’s unique mix of art, history and culture. We’ll begin in downtown Santa Fe where we’ll visit the historic Santa Fe Plaza and the Loretto Chapel, home to the mysterious “miraculous staircase.” Then we’ll walk to Canyon Road, a gorgeous neighborhood that’s big on charm and rich in culture, as it’s home to over 80 art venues and sculpture gardens. We’ll visit a small selection of galleries curated to give you a taste of Santa Fe’s rich and varied art scene. At one of the galleries, we’ll enjoy light refreshments while we delve into the work on view.
Please note that we will be walking about 1.2 miles from our meeting location at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center to our ending point on Canyon Road. Our route will be punctuated by rest stops.
