The writing mentoring program was optional.

We have submitted our draft in mentoring program. We are not sure whether our draft has been considered in the mentoring program. When can we expect feedback on our draft by the mentor?

I just have one question. The mentorship program states that “Anyone wishing to receive mentoring will submit an abstract by 4 weeks before the COLING submission deadline. Authors will be instructed that submitting an abstract at this point represents a commitment to submit a full draft by the mentoring deadline and then to submit to COLING.”

The ACL deadline is on February 22, 2018, and there is a very good chance that most of the papers submitted will also be submitted at ACL (since the deadline for the first draft of the mentorship paper is February 23, 2018). A number of papers that will be submitted at ACL may also get submitted for the mentorship program. In the event that our paper would get accepted at ACL, we will be required to withdraw it from the other avenues that our paper is under review, which may include COLING. In case our paper gets accepted at ACL, can we withdraw it from COLING, after submitting it for mentoring and the main conference?

That may be the wrong link. Please visit this one and submit again:

I have actually just submitted a paper draft, through the START link provided at the first call of paper page. However, I didn’t notice a checkbox where I can join the mentoring program. Should I apply for participating the mentoring program in order to (potentially) have a mentor help with our writing, or did I use a wrong link?

Thanks!
