Let’s say an author submits a corpus description to LREC, and a study that uses this corpus to COLING. The author can’t cite the corpus in 3rd person (“we use so-and-so’s corpus”) because the LREC paper hasn’t been published yet; so instead, the author says something like “we prepared a such-and-such corpus” with a brief description. But if they point to the corpus in the LRE map, then that breaks anonymity.
